Obtained the international eco-label “Green Key”

Mercure Tokyo Hibiya has been implementing environmentally conscious and sustainable initiatives since its opening in December 2023.

We have now obtained the international eco-label “Green Key” in order to fulfill our role in the hospitality industry and strive for environmental conservation and sustainable operations.

“Green Key” is an international eco-label awarded to hotels, restaurants, campgrounds, and other facilities that operate in an environmentally conscious manner. It was established in 1994 by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in Denmark. This certification is granted to facilities that meet evaluation criteria consisting of 75 mandatory items and 75 effort items across 13 categories.

Going forward, we will continue to promote environmental initiatives and sustainable activities in collaboration with our guests and the local community.
