Sustainability

Since its opening in December 2023, Mercure Tokyo Hibiya has been committed to environmentally conscious and sustainable initiatives.

To fulfill our role in the hospitality industry and further our efforts toward environmental conservation and sustainable operations, we have now obtained the international eco-label “Green Key.”

“Green Key” is an international eco-label awarded to hotels, restaurants, campsites, and other establishments that operate in an environmentally conscious manner. It was established in 1994 by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in Denmark. This certification is granted to facilities that meet evaluation criteria consisting of 75 mandatory requirements and 75 recommended practices across 13 categories.

Moving forward, we will continue to promote environmental initiatives and sustainable activities in partnership with our guests and the local community.
